Policies

As of DECEMBER 1, 2016 the following policies are in place for Essential Touch


Essential Touch appreciates that you chose our facility for your massage and bodywork needs. It is our absolute intention to provide you with the best personal care. In order to do that, the hour that you scheduled is time set aside for only you. We’d like to communicate some guidelines and policies in order to provide you with an optimum session.

Please arrive five to ten minutes ahead of your scheduled appointment. This allows time to fill out a heath questionnaire. It also allows your therapist time to ask specific questions about any health concerns you may have, or your specific body needs for that day. Giving yourself a little bit of extra time also allows your body and mind to start relaxing prior to your session, thereby enhancing your massage experience. From the business and therapists’ side, it gives us the full time to give you the attention you need, keeps our business on schedule, and respects the next client’s scheduled therapy time.

We understand that issues occur. It helps us a great deal if you call and let us know if you are running late. We will do our best to accommodate you.

We can generally work within a 10 minute delay, however, if time runs 10-15 minutes late or more, we will likely have to shorten your session by that amount of time. Full price will be charged for the actual scheduled time. In return, we will make sure we are on time, and if for some reason we are not, we will give you the time back or adjust the price of the session.

As of April 1, 2016 we will require a Voucher number in order to schedule services purchased through Groupon. This is due to the steady increase of missed appointments.
For missed appointments the following may occur:

Before being allowed to reschedule - If cancelled within 4 hours you may be charged ½ price for the missed session, for cancellations within 2 hours you may be charged full price. By this time it is too late to fill the time slot. If using a Gift Certificate, Groupon or Membership for your missed session, the same charges apply.  Because we do set aside the scheduled time just for you and have other clients and staff to consider, we find it necessary to charge for the missed appointments. Clients who repeatedly cancel will be required to settle any fees before being able to reschedule. Refusal to provide us with credit card information may result in a delay of scheduling future appointments. Please note that we Do Not call to confirm appointment times, we provide email and text message confirmations so having your email and cell phone carrier on file will assure you are reminded of your session. It is your responsibility to make your scheduled appointment.
We understand emergencies and illnesses do occur. If you have a fever, have been in the hospital, have been vomiting or diarrhea within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment, or your children are ill and need you at home, please cancel. Equally, if there is an ice storm, please do not drive or walk on the ice if you do not have to. Feel free to call and reschedule your appointment. There will be no charge for cancellations due to extreme conditions.


No Call / No Show For no call/no show appointments you may be charged full price. If using a Gift Certificate, Groupon or Membership for your missed session, you will forfeit the Certificate, Groupon or time included with the membership.  Clients who have a no show on file will be required to settle any fees before being able to reschedule. Refusal to provide us with credit card information may result in a delay of scheduling future appointments.

Refunds/Exchanges/Transfers Essential Touch does not provide refunds on services for any reason other than our own. As long as we have a facility and staff to provide services we will not issue refunds. Because of this policy we will allow you to transfer package/series/membership purchases or gift certificates to friends or family members if you are unable to use them. We must be notified by you personally of this transfer to prevent someone using your services without permission. 

DUE TO UNFORESEEN CIRCUMSTANCES WE ASK THAT YOU PLEASE USE ALL GIFT CERTIFICATES BY MAY 1, 2017. WE SINCERELY APOLOGIZE FOR ANY INCONVENIENCE.


Discounts and Promotions 

Quite often Essential Touch will offer specials, discounts and/or promotions. Because we offer a variety of discounts to help our guests receive the service that most fits their needs, we feel it is necessary to clarify the rules and guidelines that accompany these deals. Unless otherwise stated, we DO NOT allow more than one discount to be used per session. Discounts, specials, packages, coupons and/or promotions CAN NOT be combined with other discounts, specials, packages, coupons and/or promotions, etc. We apologize for any misunderstandings or inconvenience.  Allowing combined discounts dramatically reduces the percentage we are able to pay our therapists who work so hard to bring you the best service possible.

As a courtesy to our guests we do accept payment with SpaFinder, SpaWish and SpaWeek cards and certificates. Unfortunately because of the large deduction kept by these companies we are unable to allow this payment method to be used with any discounted services or toward tips. We do apologize for any inconvenience.

Memberships

Essential Touch offers 6 memberships to choose from: 30, 60 or 90 Minute Standard or Custom Memberships.
Memberships begin the day of sign up and reoccur on the same day of each month following. There are no contract commitments or long-term agreements. Members can share their membership benefits with 1 additional customer per month and can also upgrade to any service for a small fee. 
Standard Membership - Includes one standard massage session each month*
Custom Membership - Includes one custom massage session each month*
*Choose from any service within length of time included with membership

Memberships can be frozen for $5 per month, occurred time may be used by member but acquiring services and additional benefits will be suspended while membership is frozen. 
Members have 30 days to use acquired time after membership is canceled.

Our Gift Certificates and Package Purchases are automatically given a 3 month expiration. However, some purchases have reduced expiration dates as part of the discount. Please be aware of the specific expiration on your purchase or Gift Certificate. GIFT CERTIFICATES THROUGH MELODY WILL NO LONGER BE AVAILABLE AFTER JANUARY 1, 2017

We do allow up to 30 days after the expiration to use a Gift Certificate at no additional charge. After 30 days we will no longer accept the expired certificate.

Because packages are dramatically discounted they must be used by the expiration date at the price paid. After the expiration you can still use the services but you will be required to pay the difference of the original amount.
